Multipurpose Driver (B5

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the position of Multipurpose Driver.
The position will be based at Bokoni Platinum Mines at Atok (Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality, Sekhukhune
District Municipality in Limpopo Province, South Africa. The purpose of the job is to provide a centralized transport service and operate surface equipment.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Perform proper pre-use inspection on the vehicles and submit forms to
• Planned Maintenance Officer.
• Safely operate equipment.
• Operate any of the following: TLB, Telescopic Handler, forklift, Truck
  mounted crane, Compactor and/or Grader.
• Housekeeping of the trackless equipment.
• Report defects on the vehicle to the Planned Maintenance department.
• Take the vehicles for periodic services.
• Execute approved transport requests through the Transport Department.
• Keep within bus schedules or shuttle times.
• Refuel equipment and top up oils and coolants.
• Change spare wheels (below 20”) when required

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12.
• Valid Driver’s Licence (Code 14/EC).
• Professional Driver’s Permit (PDP).
• 2 years’ driving experience.
• Previous experience as a Heavy Vehicle Driver for a company will be an
  advantage.
• Operating any of the following equipment will also be an advantage: TLB,
  Telescopic Handler, forklift, Truck mounted crane, Compactor and/or
  Grader
