Northam Eland Platinum Mine has opportunity for suitable and experienced qualified Electrician who will be accountable for providing maintenance support to the Concentrator Plant for the achievement of production performance levels. The purpose of the position is to attend to breakdowns and perform planned maintenance as per schedule.

Job Description
Key duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that all electrical maintenance, installation and construction work is performed in accordance to standards and specifications
- Ensure that all electrical maintenance, installations and constructions are inspected and checked for quality purposes
- Ensure safe, correct and effective utilization of equipment and machinery
- Liaise with process teams on maintenance activities that affects production
- Adherence to maintenance schedules
- Attending to engineering breakdowns
- Escalation of unresolved breakdowns or unsuccessful electrical maintenance, installation and constructions
- Adherence to document control standards and procedures
Minimum Requirements
- NQF level 4 (Grade 12 or Adult Senior Certificate) with English literacy or N2 in Engineering studies
- Completed formal Learnership programme prior to obtaining an Electrician artisan trade certificate (Sect 13 or 26 D) as recognized by the MQA
- At least three (3) years’ experience as a Electrician in a mining environment
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to work in confined spaces and heights
- Must be willing to work shifts
- Medical Certificate of Fitness
- Valid drivers license with own transport
