The successful candidate will report to the Foreman Engineering. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Cost containment, high mean time to failure after repairs
Competent, motivated, disciplined and positive team
Effective self and team supervision in alignment with MRC values and leadership initiatives
Effective stakeholder engagement
Engineering equipment is repaired according to agreed standards, specifications and schedules
Electrical equipment installations are constructed and maintained according to agreed standards, procedures and specifications
Effective self-management and alignment with M&RC values
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
Section 26 Electrical Trade Certificate / MIETTB Trade Certificate through a registered body
Valid First Aid Certificate
Valid Gas Testing Certificate
Good communication skills in English
Analytical and attentive to detail
Team leadership and management skills
Self-motivated, resourceful problem-solver within agreed parameters
Able to make decisions within agreed parameters
Sound learning agility and able to adapt to new technologies - 5 years’ mining industry experience (underground, surface and plant)
- 5 years’ trade experience as an Electrician
- Construction experience ( Grout Plant Construction)
