| Equipment installation, repair, and maintenance in shaft infrastructureWorkshop procedures, installation and maintenanceLegal requirements as per Mine Health and Safety Act with regards to winding plantInstallation and maintenance of machinery including HT switchgearMaintenance of quality engineering standardsWorking knowledge of the Mine, Health & Safety Act and Regulations |
| ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES |
| Report on all incidents and accidentsRisk assessments must be carried out for each taskEnsure tools and equipment are sufficient, in good condition and safe to use.All legal inspections must be carried out according to the time intervals and true reports are recorded in the record bookReport and act on all unsafe conditions and unsafe acts.Be responsible for his/her sub-ordinates, maintenance schedule is to be adhered to.The individual is responsible for carrying out the planned maintenance as per the maintenance scheduleEnsure that all the spares and tools are available for the serviceEnsure that the housekeeping in the workshop/working area is adequate to carry out maintenance work. |
