Job Description

To be a Risk Officer at RCL FOODS, the successful candidate will be accountable for making sure that all health and safety systems are followed and will also be monitored . The candidate will also be making sure that the company legislation  are also complied. The candidate will also working for different tasks and also the following tasks:

• The successful candidate will be responsible for making sure the working is being done while the health and safety procedures are followed
• The candidate will be helping the bakery to complete work without being out of the safety standard to protect the health and safety of the workers and visitors
• Optimizing safety within the bakery
• The candidate will also be accountable for incident investigation
• Reporting injuries to the management of the bakery
• Also assist with investigation off incident that might damage the company properties and cars
• The candidate will also be responsible for identifying hazards in the working place and report them to the manager of the bakery
• The candidate will also help workers with health and safety issue and will also perform inspection
• Facilitating and also responsible for health and safety meetings and campaign  
• The candidate will be responsible to work along with health and safety committees to meet the company safety objective
• The candidate will be making sure that the workers are working under safe environment
• Responsible for emergencies in the work place
• Responsible for all processes regarding the waste removal
• The candidate will also be responsible for providing necessary in formation for inspection and also receive inspections report from Labour
• Performing internal auditing
• Conducting health and safety training
• Arrangement of health evaluation of working area by regulating bodies
• Structuring and updating emergency procedures
• Working with municipal planner to update plans
• Facilitate fire safety training programs

Qualifications:

1. Education: Grade 12, Health, Safety Degree/Diploma/ environmental studies and SAMTRAC
2. Experience:3 – 5 years of experience in a Health and Safety field
3. Skills:

• Communication skill
• Problem solving skill
• Organizing skill
• Knowledge of health and safety laws and legislations
