Minimum qualifications and skills:
· Grade 12
· NQF 4 Relevant Trade Certificate
· First Aid Certificate
· Driver’s License
Work experience:
· Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in a mining environment
· Knowledge of Mining heavy equipment
· Identify components on a machine
· Diagnostics
Key Responsibilities but not be limited to:
· Responsible for maintaining and repairing the diesel fleet, managing any mechanical issues and carrying out routine inspections on the equipment.
· Maintenance of TMM, Diesel by generator and diesel standby.
· Replacing, testing and checking.
· Adhere to the jobs and repair procedures.
· Housekeeping of workplace to international standards.
· Complete all associated paperwork.
· Work as directed to minimize equipment down-time and maximize productivity.
· Ensuring inspections are carried out on all equipment before use.
· Ensuring that all tools and equipment are serviceable and safe.
