Job Description
Minimum qualifications and skills:
• NQF 4 Relevant Trade Certificate
• First Aid Certificate is advantageous.
• Fire Fighting course is advantageous.
• Valid Code EB (08) Driver’s license.
• Fault finding skills
Work experience:
• Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in a mining environment
• Solid welding and mechanical experience
Key Responsibilities
· Undertake cleaning, lubrication and preservation of machinery, vehicles, equipment, tools, workshop, tool room and yard area.
· Maintenance of mechanical equipment.
· Maintenance of de-watering system.
· Maintenance of ground handling systems.
· General cleaning and removal of rust on parts and equipment.
· Ensures the proper use and care of equipment.
· Assist artisan when undertaking inspection, testing and repairs of lifting equipment and plant.
· Deliver and collect materials, spares, tools and machinery used in the fabrication and maintenance of equipment and plant.
